Mrs. Palmer’s students are confused about the meaning of life. In the generation of Xbox and IPods, they believe that life is strictly about “stylin’, profiling, and getting paid”. Join the students as they learn valuable lessons about the consequences of the choices they make, what it means to be cool, and the true purpose of their lives. In life, people don’t get the chance to rewind their choices. Yet what if they could? This 3rd Dimension production combines song, dance, and theater to convey a powerful message that one decision is often all it takes to change the course of an entire life.
Program specifics: 20-25 minute multi-media based performance with discussion.
Highlights: Youthful cast, hip-hop music/dance, and messages of character. Topics include integrity, leadership, decision making, and standing alone. Discussion and workshop are available upon request.
Technical needs: 4 lavaliere microphones, sound system with laptop computer capability, layout of space, video projector, 2 tables, and 4 chairs for the performance, room for setup and costume changes

Following the performance, the 3rd Dimension performers and staff will facilitate four discussion groups for the teens. Recognizing the unique power of the arts to change minds and transform behavior, the 3rd Dimension performers will utilize a variety of artistic mediums to engage the youth.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day Production
Mrs. Palmer’s students are confused about the meaning of Dr. King’s life and work. In the generation of Xbox and IPods, they believe that his message no longer applies to their reality. Join the class as they learn valuable lessons about the Civil Rights Movement, Dr.King, and discover the true purpose of their own lives. This 3rd Dimension production combines song, dance, and theater to convey a powerful message to students about the life and work of one of America’s greatest heroes.
Program specifics: 25 minute multi-media based performance with discussion. The 3rd Dimension will provide an interactive and web-based curriculum designed to facilitate post-performance learning. Additionally, the 3rd Dimension will direct the students in the creation of a musical number about Dr.King’s work. Total time: 55-75 minutes
